Important Notes Before You Get Colorful!
The Color Stampede is meant to be messy, colorful fun! A few things to know before you join the herd:
-
Dress for the mess! Please wear clothing and shoes that can get wet, stained, or dirty. We recommend light-colored clothing if you want the colors to really show!
-
Color powder will be used during the Stampede. The color powder used during the Stampede is made from cornstarch and food-grade colors. While the manufacturer describes the powder as safe for skin, color powder may become airborne during the eventParticipants may come into direct contact with the powder and some powder may become airborne.
-
Foam party: The foam is designed with kids and the environment in mind! According to the manufacturer, the foam is tear-free, dye-free, non-staining, scent-free, non-sticky, and biodegradable, and is described as safe for kids, pets, grass, and the environment.
-
Allergies & sensitivities: If your child has asthma, respiratory sensitivities, allergies, or sensitive skin, please review the color powder ingredients before deciding whether they should participate in the color portion of the event.
-
Avoid eyes and faces. Volunteers will be instructed not to intentionally throw color toward participants' faces. Please wear goggles or sunglass to help.
-
Participation in the color portion is optional. Children who need or prefer to avoid the powder can still enjoy the other Color Stampede activities.
-
Bring a towel or change of clothes for the ride home—you may leave a little more colorful than you arrived!
